MY First festival

In June, Beachside Braids participated in ​its very first festival at the Mainstreet Rum ​Festival. It was a very fun thing to do in ​Daytona Beach, and we had a blast. I ​offered different hairstyle options ​including single French braids, a special, ​and double Dutch braids. When we booked ​the festival, I wanted to do a few braids ​and then walk around the festival. Little did ​I know I would be braiding all night!

Rum Fest ​Fun

There was a very high demand. I did ​mother-daughter braids, girls' hairstyles, ​and more! Some of the guys even got in on ​the action, and I did some bro braids. We ​met quite a few people on a family ​vacation to the beach and braided locals' ​hair as well. Little did I know this would be ​the first of quite a few festivals I would be ​doing over the next couple of weeks.

Because we had a tent, we were able to ​continue braiding even when it rained. It ​was great to see everyone still enjoying the ​festival despite the weather. As a braider in ​the Daytona area, I’m used to ​accommodating all kinds of conditions to ​ensure everyone leaves happy with their ​new hairstyle. Rain or shine, the braiding ​must go on!
